I am still trying to figure out if they did anything to improve the way Cubase uses the resources (CPU), which would be fantastic news, but for now, I pass. So, unless somebody comes with a good bridge 32 to 64 bit, I have to stop at 8.5- which is quite stable, and I am not overly impressed with the new things. Unfortunately, they abandoned the support, and there is no native version.

DIGITAL PERFORMER 9.5 USE 32BIT VST SOFTWARE
I do a lot of re-mastering from old vinyls, the first step is clicks/cracks/scratches removal, then de-noise, and I can't get with any other software close to what I get from TC Restoration. However, I have RX4/5 Advanced, Waves and Sonnox restoration plugins but they're not even close to TC Restoration. I have all the high end plugins (UAD, Sonnox, Waves, Soundtoys, Cytmoic, Softube, Brainworks and the likes, all legit - I am running a business here), and I mix hybrid. I don't care too much about the TC plugs (VSS3 and dynamic EQ are nice however) but I do care tons about the Restoration Suite. I was afraid I can't use the TC Powercore, due to lack of PCI (Asus DeluxeII x99), but it works like a charm with a PCI to PCIe adapter. I just built a new computer, i7 6950, works perfect.

I am having a problem with the lack of 32 bit support. Ohhh and the new eq plugin is superb and beats the ones in using now the only one i have which is slightly better is brainworx bx3 but frequency is a very close second
DIGITAL PERFORMER 9.5 USE 32BIT VST UPDATE
On the whole though steinbergs delivered what weve been screaming for ive always wanted an updated arranger page with everything accessable on the front page.i wanted a sampler (yes its basic but i know steinberg will update that in the coming months ).updated old dated eat update steinberg What i think is steinbergs holding back and will give those in c9.5 update in a year or so :( I also think steinbergs holding back some big hitting plugins and instruments too me that seems very bare compared to previous cubases yes we got a basic sampler but we didnt get any new synth or updated synths.they should have updated mystic/monologue/vb1/neon and thrown those in too I do like the new sample calidascope content and the new drum production kits very nice. One thing i do think needs updating though is the preview playback in the media strip on the right of the arranger page.when i audition a sample it stops the song im working on and doesnt play it in time but in c8.5 it doesnt stop and plays the samples back in time with the song im working on. I do like the way you can drag any audio part from your arranger page and drop it into the sampler then speed it up ,reverse.etc What im doing now is using c9 for new tracks only and i must admit c9 is brilliant and seems very stable so far.the new and updated plugins look fresh and sound amazing,i really like the simple sampler and hope they add new features too it such as splitting a sample and key assign so i can cut a sample up into multiple parts then map each one to a key.it also needs time stretching thats a must have but i cant see the option to do that.

Not too frightening but any info that helps sidestep hiccups is most welcome.Im gutted i cant use some of my old 32bit plugins with c9 i can still use them in c8.5 luckly steinberg doesnt delete old installs so they still work but it would have ben brilliant if i could work on old tracks in c9 and take advantage of the new layout and better plugins. I'm about to update a lot of things and it will reach a point where there will be no going back. Would love to hear more feedback on these issues. I could also possibly boot up in my clone drive and still be able to use Waves V8. Just like Miroslav, it's really important to me to be able to complete a lot of projects that use Waves 8, Miroslav, and some of the IK T-Racks plugs for that matter during the transition.ĭP8 in 32 bit mode seems to load most things which might make going back to 7.24 less important. Not even if you swap out the Waveshells in the Components folder? It seems I heard that was possible at some point. Meaning you can't use Waves 8 and waves 9 or waves 7 and waves 9 on the same computer and switch between the 2.

Waves allowed me to retain my v7 authorization on my iLok (for use in my backup PPC system, if necessary) while also having v9 authorized to my Mac Pro.
